Privacy

The short version: your data stays with you. Kolosei's products are built privacy-first, and this site collects as little as possible.

This website

kolosei.com is a static site. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics. Like any web server, the hosting provider (Hetzner) records standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and operations; these are not used to profile visitors.

LinguistPro

LinguistPro stores a learner's texts, audio, progress and notes in browser-local storage (OPFS + SQLite WASM). That data is not transmitted to or stored on Kolosei's servers. When a feature needs cloud compute (text-to-speech, neural translation, Gemini analysis), the learner supplies their own Google Cloud / Gemini API key, which is held in the browser only and never sent to Kolosei. Requests made with that key are processed by Google under the user's own account and Google's terms. Opt-in research mode collects cohort data only with explicit, IRB-style consent.

HDLE Premium

HDLE Premium is a desktop application. Documents and corpora are processed locally. Any translation credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and stored in the operating-system keyring; data is sent only to the translation provider the user explicitly selects.

EgorGenom

EgorGenom is a private research project handling identifiable patient data. That data is never published, and the repository is private. Any future public release is governed by a de-identification plan, with raw data deposited only to controlled-access archives.
