Privacy
LinguistPro is local-first. Its primary workspace stays on your device; every feature that creates a server copy or gives another service access is a separate choice.

LinguistPro: the default local workspace
Texts, media references, notes and local learning state are stored in browser-localOPFS + SQLite WASM. You can use the core Studio and Reading Room without enabling an account, cloud sync, Telegram or an external agent connection.
BYOK cloud processing
Some actions — text-to-speech, neural translation, OCR, media transcription and graded retelling — can send the source you selected to Google under your own Google Cloud or Gemini API key. The key is kept in the browser and is not stored by Kolosei. Those requests are processed under your Google account and Google's terms. LinguistPro shows the provider before a metered or content-bearing action.
Optional account and sync
If you create an account and explicitly enable sync, LinguistPro stores the learner state needed for continuity across surfaces. A separate consent controls synchronization of personal texts and their learning artifacts. The interface provides revocation and deletion paths; deleting a local text is propagated with a tombstone so an older server copy cannot silently restore it.
Telegram, Mini App and connected agents
Telegram pairing is optional and requires confirmation on both sides. The bot and Mini App may process your Telegram account identifier, selected learning state, challenge answers and the context required for the command you invoke. Telegram also retains its own copy of messages under Telegram's policy.
External AI assistants connect through OAuth with named, revocable scopes. Sync consent does not by itself authorize an agent to read a personal text: content access requires an additional grant. The current Telegram and external-agent integrations are an owner pilot rather than generally available features. Revocation stops future access, but data already delivered to an assistant may remain in that provider's session or backups and must also be removed through the provider's own controls.
Research mode
Cohort research is separate and opt-in, with versioned IRB-style consent. The consent screen describes the data collected for that study. The methodology is preregistered at OSF.
Export, revocation and deletion
LinguistPro provides export and account-deletion paths. Revoking a consent disables the corresponding use and triggers the defined cleanup for that data class. Operational backups rotate separately; a deletion journal is used so restoring an older backup does not reactivate deleted account data.
HDLE Premium
HDLE Premium is a desktop application. Documents and corpora are processed locally. Translation credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and stored in the operating-system keyring; data is sent only to the translation provider the user explicitly selects.
EgorGenom
EgorGenom is a private research project handling identifiable patient data. That data is never published, and the repository is private. Any future public release is governed by a de-identification plan, with raw data deposited only to controlled-access archives.
